How do I pay for my order?

Payment is accepted through PayPal and Credit Cards. If you don’t have a Paypal account, you can still pay using a debit or credit card.

When will I receive my order?

I aim to ship your item as soon as possible. This is usually within 1 - 2 business days.

Estimated shipping times – actual delivery time depends on your location:

  • Australia: 3-5 business days
  • North America and Asia Pacific: 7-10 business days
  • Rest of the world: 10-14 business days

In busy holiday periods, delivery time frames may be longer.

Where are your goods shipped from?

Pallu Design orders are shipped direct from Cairns in Australia.

What about customs and import taxes?

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply to your country. I am not responsible for any delays due to customs requirements - if you have concerns about the customs laws in your country, please investigate before purchase.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Your parcel will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and mailed in an Australia Post satchel to keep it safe for the journey to your home.   If you require a gift item sent to another address please notify me and make sure you add the correct address - I will also enclose a gift card.

How do I clean my traditional fabrics?

Some colour transfer is to be expected for hand-dyed and indigo fabrics for the first few washes. So fabrics should be washed separately, without soaking. Hand washing in cold water with a gentle soap and line drying is recommended. It is advisable not to tumble dry or to use bleach.  This will help preserve the softness and long life of your new fabrics.

What is the benefit of subscribing to your email newsletter?

Newsletter customers will receive 10% off their first order from the shop after signing up.  You will also be the first to know about special offers, sneak peeks at new updates and info about fabric techniques and textile travels!

What if I need to return an item I have ordered?

Handmade fabrics, especially vintage items, by their nature will have some variations in colour, texture and design throughout the piece. I have endeavored to make this clear in our descriptions and photographs.  Note that many items have been made in small villages and that these variations should be expected.  These are the special qualities that make each handmade piece truly unique.

Many fabrics are one-off pieces and you will never find another one like it. I wish you to be happy with your order, so please contact me within 10 days of receiving your order, if you have any concerns. Please note that I don't accept exchanges or cancellations, or returns for changing your mind.

I will accept returns if I deem goods to be damaged or defective but cannot accept returns for personalised orders. Items approved for return must be shipped back to me within 14 days of delivery. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.   If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Shopify Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Shopify Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Complain: If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
